Uniform hazard spectra of Vancouver on rock from the 2020 National Building Code of Canada
VancouverSpectra.RdSpectral accelerations of the 2020 National Building Code of Canada seismic
hazard model for Vancouver (latitude 49.2827, longitude -123.1207) on rock,
Vs30 760 m/s, as published by the seismic hazard tool of Natural Resources
Canada. Each row gives the acceleration Sa at the oscillator period Tn
whose annual frequency of exceedance is 1 / TR; Tn = 0 holds the peak
ground acceleration. The ten return periods correspond to probabilities of
exceedance in 50 years between 2 and 40 percent. Values retrieved on
2026-10-24 through the tool's public interface; they are reproduced under
the Open Government Licence - Canada.
Format
A data.table with 100 rows and 3 variables: TR (return period,
years), Tn (oscillator period, s), Sa (spectral acceleration, g).
